Dashboard Overview

Current Grade: Your overall grade based on both past papers and extra work combined.

Past Paper %: Average across all past papers you've completed. Click to see breakdown by paper.

Extra Work %: Average across all homework, tests, and classwork. Click to see breakdown by type.

Target Grade: The grade you're aiming for. Change this in your Profile.

Papers Completed: Shows X/52 (52 total papers available). Click to jump to checklist.

Resources: Number of unlocked study materials. Click to view your resources.

Tip: Most stats are clickable! Click on them to see detailed breakdowns.

Adding Past Papers

Step-by-step guide:

Go to Grade Tracker page

Click "Add Result" button (top right)

Select your Level (A-Level or AS)

Choose which Paper (1, 2, or 3)

Select the Year (2017-2025 or Specimen)

Enter the Date Completed

Enter your scores for each Section (A, B, C, etc.)

Click Save Result

Your grade is calculated automatically using official AQA grade boundaries!

Section Scores:

Paper 1: 4 sections (A, B, C, D) - 24 marks each

Paper 2: Section A (24), Section B (24), Research Methods (48)

Paper 3: 4 sections (A, B, C, D) - 24 marks each

Adding Extra Work

Track homework, tests, and classwork:

Go to Grade Tracker page

Click "Add Extra Work" button

Select the Topic from dropdown (only your topics shown)

Choose Type: Homework, Classwork, or Test

Enter your Score and Max Score

Select the Date Completed

Optionally add Personal Notes (feedback, what to improve, etc.)

Click Save Extra Work

Tip: Use notes to record Mr K's feedback or your own reflections!

Grade Tracker Features

The Grade Tracker has powerful tools:

Progress Graph: See your performance over time (blue = past papers, orange = extra work)

Toggle Data Types: Click the colored buttons to show/hide past papers or extra work

Date Filters: View results from last 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or all time

Content Filters: Filter by Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 topics, or view overall

Topic Performance Table: Compare your performance across all topics

Sort Options: Click column headers to sort by topic, average %, extra work %, past paper %, or status

All Results List: See every result with sorting options (most recent, highest %, by paper, etc.)

Pro Tip: Use the topic table to identify which areas need more work!

Understanding Grade Boundaries

How grades are calculated:

Click "View Grade Boundaries" button on Dashboard to see official AQA boundaries

A-Level: Out of 288 total marks (3 papers × 96 marks)

AS Level: Out of 144 total marks (2 papers × 72 marks)

Your grade is calculated automatically based on the year of the paper

Different years have different boundaries (e.g., 2020 had lower boundaries)

Grade boundaries change each year based on paper difficulty. The portal uses the correct boundaries for each year automatically!

Your Resources

Access your study materials:

Go to "My Resources" page

Unlocked resources: Show blue "Access Resource" button - click to open

Locked resources: Show orange border and "Purchase Now" button

Resources can include: flashcards, study guides, practice questions, videos, etc.

Mr K assigns resources to you based on your needs and progress

To unlock a resource, you can purchase it from mrkpsychology.co.uk or ask Mr K to assign it to you.

Profile & Settings

Manage your account:

Click your name in the top right to access Profile

Update your name and target grade

Select your Paper 3 options (3 topics required)

Change your password in the Password section

Click "Save Profile" to update your settings

Make sure you've selected all 3 Paper 3 options - the portal needs these to show your relevant topics!

Common Questions

▶

Q: Can I delete a result if I entered it wrong?

A: Yes! In Grade Tracker → All Results, hover over any result and click the "Delete" button.

Q: Why is my current grade different from my past paper average?

A: Your current grade is the average of BOTH past papers AND extra work combined.

Q: How do I unlock more resources?

A: You can either click "Purchase Now" on the Resources page, or visit the Mr K Psychology shop here.

Q: Where can I find past papers to complete?

A: View / download AQA past papers here.

Q: How do I see which papers I haven't done yet?

A: On the Dashboard, scroll to "Papers Completed" - uncompleted papers show with a gray circle.

Q: Can I change my Paper 3 options later?

A: Yes! Go to Profile and update your Option 1, 2, and 3 selections anytime.

Q: What if I can't remember my password?

A: Click "Forgot your password?" on the login page and email Mr K to reset it.

Grade Tracker

Add and track your results from past papers and extra work. See your progress over time with detailed charts and statistics.

Step 3: How to Add Your Results

Past Papers

Click "Add Past Paper", choose year, paper and date, enter your scores for each section, then save. Your grade will be calculated automatically.

Extra Work

Click "Add Extra Work", choose type (Homework/Classwork/Test), enter topic, score and date, then save. Perfect for tracking essays and assignments.
